Spotlight on our Babies!

So I wanted to make a post about our babies....Roxi & Ryker. Ryan and I have no real kids but our dogs are pretty much the same thing to us. I will start with my Roxi girl.....

Ryan surprised me with Roxi three months into our relationship, which was like 2 years ago. I remember it very well.... It was a Thursday so I was at school until ten. I was driving home to Tooele after school and I was talking to Ryan on the phone and he was acting kind of weird. He told me he was really hungry and asked if I would pick him up some food. I was a bit irritated because it was already late and I was tired but I went to Wendy's and got him some food. When I got home I parked in the driveway and grabbed all my school stuff and the food and went in through our front door....as I was walking through the door this little itty bitty white fluff ball came running towards me. I dropped everything in my arms and screamed! The poor little dog got scared and ran from me...LOL. Let me just tell you....Roxi was the most adorable darn thing. She was seriously the size of a hamburger bun and she was just this white puffy thing. She is a maltese poodle and she is my little princess. Ryan had me get food because he was trying to set everything up and he still had to go to Wal Mart and get a collar and food bowls etc. I can not even begin to tell you how much I love that dog. She is my little buddy. She follows me everywhere and has to be wherever I am. Don't get me wrong...she loves her dad and when Ryan gets home from work she gets so so excited but I am definitely her favorite. Roxi is the best cuddler and she sleeps with Ryan and I at night....she is like a heater though because she sleeps right next to my chest all night long....I love her so much. She is a spoiled girl too and whenever Ryan and I go out of town she gets to go stay at her Grandma Mowers and she really gets spoiled over there. It takes Ryan and I about a week to get her back into our routine after she has stayed with my parents....especially cuz they feed her people food! Tisk Tisk! She has the cutest personality too and she is a lot like me....lol.....she is really grumpy in the mornings and does not appreciate being bothered. If you even slightly move her when she is sleeping she will bite your head off....but she is usually the sweetest thing in the world. Her favorite thing is to go on car rides with the windows down and she loves taking walks with us. She has had to seriously get used to Ryker being in our lives and it is a daily struggle with those two but they are buddies for the most part. Roxi is a such a cutie when she gets outside because she just runs in circles forever and Ryker tries to catch her. Roxi also thinks she is bigger then she is. She steals Rykers big toys and bones all the time and tries to carry them around...she is so precious!

Ryker was also a present from Ryan....although he wanted him just as much if not more then me. It was two days before Christmas when Ryan surprised me with Ryker. He had been planning this for two months! He picked him out and waited for him to be 8 weeks so he could bring him home. Ryan told me that he had to go run errands one Sunday afternoon....right before X-mas and he was gone forever! Well later that day the doorbell rang and I went to answer the door and there was a little pit bull puppy with a big red bow tied around his neck on my front porch! Once again I screamed and picked him up. Ryan came around the corner with a huge smile on his face. I think I actually teared up a little bit with Ryker because he was so so adorable and we had been talking about getting a bigger dog for awhile. I was so excited. Poor Ryker though he was so scared when he first got to our house. He just cowered in the corner. I am pretty sure that I carried him around non-stop for the first three days of his life with us. Ryker was so adorable when he was a puppy. Oh my gosh I don't even have words! He had such a cute personality and would play for hours....but once he was tired he would literally pass out wherever he was and he was out. He is a really sound sleeper and he snores so loud! Ryker got so big so quickly....he is 60 pounds now. He is my baby boy though. He is such a good boy and we have so much fun with him. We put Ryker though like ten weeks of puppy school and he learned a lot and even graduated with a cute little hat and everything....sadly at this point he pretty much only knows how to sit and lay down...lol....Ryker is a bit silly and stupid sometimes but he is the BEST cuddler ever! Every night it never fails that he crawls up on the couch with Ryan and sleeps right on top of him. Ryker follows Ryan around all day long when he is home. When Ryan mows the lawn, Ryker just follows behind him...it is so cute. He LOVES being outside and he just roams, plays, and eats grass. When he is inside he drives Roxi nuts!!! He drives me nuts too but he is the sweetest boy and he always knows when I am sad and he will come and lay on me and give me kisses. Ryker is our camping dog and outdoors dog, we can pretty much take him anywhere....he even rides on the four wheeler with Ryan...actually so does Roxi....whenever I am outside and I get on my four wheeler, Roxi jumps right up there with me and takes rides with me....they are so cute! Ryker isn't allowed to sleep on our bed with us but somehow....every night....he makes his way up there...I wake up in the middle of the night with no covers and two dogs laying on me.....lol....it is so annoying but so cute all at the same time.

Ryan and I obviously love our dogs and if anything every happened to either of them I would just die....they are seriously my babies....I talk about them like they are humans....here are some pics of them. Sadly we don't have any pics of Roxi when she was a little fluff ball but we have lots of pics of Ryker as a puppy! We have two of the cutes dogs ever.....
